Company plans to invest INR4,500-cr.
Grew Energy Pvt. Ltd., a flagship venture of theChiripal Group, is all set to establish a three-stage fully backward integratedmanufacturing unit in Jammu and Kashmir. With a commitment to invest INR4,500-cr,upon completion, this ultra-modern facility will have annual capacity of producing3.2GW high-efficiency modules and 2.8GW ingots, wafers, and cells.
Grew is India's first renewable energy player toestablish a manufacturing facility in Jammu state. Located in Kathua, the high-techfacility, spread over a total area of 80 acres, will be as per internationalstandards with world-class automated machinery, making Grew the first solar companyin India to have such unique technology and a cutting-edge manufacturingfacility.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Thadani, CEO andDirector, Grew Energy said, “With establishment of our Kathua facility and ourexisting 2.8GW module manufacturing facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Grew willachieve a total of 6GW manufacturing capacity for modules and 2.8GW for solarcomponents by FY25.”
Grew Energy Pvt. Ltd. conducted a groundbreakingceremony at the facility wherein Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director, Grew Energy,Shri Hardip Singh, COO, Grew Energy and other dignitaries from Chiripal group –Ved Prakash Chiripal, Jyoti Prasad Chiripal, Jai Prakash Chiripal, andBrijmohan Chiripal amongst others were present at the ceremony.
