The Deendayal PortAuthority (DPA) in Kandla commissioned a 1.0 MW green hydrogen factory. Theleading facility was inaugurated by Union Minister for Ports, Shipping andWaterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal.
The commissioningof the first 1.0 MW module in just four months as part of a larger 10 MWcapacity project represents a new standard for implementation in India’s greenhydrogen ecosystem. The project is capable of producing approximately 140metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually and is poised to play an importantrole in marine decarbonization and sustainable port operations.
Congratulating theleadership of DPA and the engineering excellence of L&T, the Minister said,“I commend the entire team of Deendayal Port Authority led by the Chairman and theengineers of L&T for completing this complex project with remarkable speedand accuracy.”
Minister of State,Shri Shantanu Thakur also lauded the historic achievement. “This is a proudmoment not only for Gujarat but for the entire country. The commissioning of thisgreen hydrogen factory at DPA highlights India's growing leadership in clean energy,innovation, and self-reliance.”
