Lays foundation stone for latest Indianfacility and inaugurates Global Technology and Innovation Centre.
Bonfiglioli Transmissions Pvt. Ltd.,the Indian subsidiary of Bonfiglioli Group, a global leader in powertransmission and drive solutions, has laid the foundation stone for its newIndustry and Automation facility in Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu. The company has also inauguratedits Technology and Innovation Hub in Chennai. The company would be investingINR 320-crores towards this end.
The 25-acre Cheyyar plant, scheduled tocommence operations by 2025, will feature state-of-the-art machinery, create150-200 job opportunities, and cater to growing domestic demand for heavy-dutyindustrial gearboxes. Bonfigliol’s latest investment is a strategiccontinuation of its previous year’s investment in Pune, expanding itsmanufacturing capabilities for light and medium duty industrial gear boxes.
Bonfiglioli’s new Global competencecentre – The Bonfiglioli Technology Space – in Chennai, would house 180engineers with diverse expertise. This cutting-edge facility will focus onresearch, development, and technical support, integrating advanced technologiesto create breakthrough solutions. The centre will also house testinglaboratories that could be used to simulate real field working conditions.
