JSW Steel USA, Inc.a subsidiary of JSW Steel Ltd., with over 800 employees in the United States, plansto invest US $110-million in steel plate mill modernization projects withsustainable technology and state-of-the-art equipments within its manufacturingfacilities in Baytown, Texas. These investments will enable the production ofhigh-quality monopile steel plates to support the U.S. Administration’s newactions to expand offshore wind energy by deploying 30 gigawatts (GW) ofoffshore wind by 2030, enough to power 10 million homes with clean energy.

Steel productsmade through this investment are aligned with Buy America requirements for nichegrades and sophisticated applications, such as hydrocarbon pipelines, offshorewind towers, offshore wind platforms, high-density pressure vessels, monopilesteel slabs, and platforms for offshore wind towers.
