Crane operator Andreas Erzening could have hardly imagined a better way tohonor his 30th work anniversary at Autokrane Schares, with the company’s newTadano AC 3.045-1 City being assigned to him from the get-go. Schares ManagingDirector Tim Schlattmann recently picked up the new machine in Lauf, where itwas handed over by Tadano Sales Manager Helge Prüfer.
“No one is more familiar with the advantages of Tadano City cranes than us– after all, we have several AC 40 City units in our fleet already and aretremendously happy with them. And the current AC 3.045-1 City builds on them sosuccessfully that it’s significantly better in every respect,” highlights TimSchlattmann, who ordered his most recent acquisition together with authorizedsignatory Eric Reichmann at this year’s bauma. The AC 3.045-1 City won themover with its immense power when telescoping under load, not to mention itsFlex Base system, which makes it possible to extend the machine’s outriggers toany point within their range even in asymmetrical configurations, maximizinglifting capacities under tight space conditions. In addition, the AC 3.045-1City is the most compact crane in its class, boasting a low overall height ofjust 3.18 meters and a boom base section of just 7.80 meters in length. “Wealso loved the higher engine power in comparison to its predecessor, as well asthe rear axle steering that makes the crane extremely maneuverable – put allthis together, and the AC 3.045-1 City is simply unbeatable when it comes toindoor projects and jobs at work sites where space is cramped,” Eric Reichmannexplains.
Tim Schlattmann thenpoints to another advantage behind the AC 3.045-1 City: Its practical axleloads mean that it is particularly easy to get travel permits for it, whichmakes the compact Tadano City crane especially cost-effective for his company.
