VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), a jointventure between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has signed a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) with Jio-bp pulse to expand and streamline charging accessfor VECV’s electric commercial vehicle customers. Through this collaboration,all Eicher Trucks and Buses’ EV customers will gain seamless access to Jio-bp’snetwork of over 6,000+ charging points, India’s largest DC fast-chargingfootprint, across urban centres, highways, and purpose-built EV hubs capable ofaccommodating all types of commercial vehicles.
Jio-bp, fuel retail joint venture of RelianceIndustries and bp, operates under the brand name of Jio-bp pulse in theElectric Mobility space, has established one of the largest and fastest growingEV charging network in India.
Under this MoU, both companies will collaborateon multiple fronts to accelerate the adoption of electric trucks and buses. WhileJio-bp pulse will leverage its extensive EV charging infrastructure andexpertise in providing customized charging solutions, VECV will contributeits deep knowledge in electric trucks technology, ensuring that these vehiclesmeet the demanding and diverse needs of end-user applications. Together, theywill actively engage with Eicher Trucks and Buses customers to promote thetransition to electric mobility.

Beyond this MoU, VECV and Jio-bp pulse willjointly evaluate depot-level charging solutions and bespoke infrastructureprojects to support large EV fleets and bus operations, with separateagreements to follow based on customer requirements.
