KCEI rolls out its 20,000th excavator

Kobelco ConstructionEquipment India (KCEI), a subsidiary of Japan-based Kobelco ConstructionMachinery Co., has reached a significant production milestone by rolling out its20,000th excavator at its manufacturing plant in Sri City, AndhraPradesh. This facility serves both domestic and international markets,reinforcing India’s role as a key production centre for Kobelco.

KCEI is also setting up anew R&D facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at enhancing technologydevelopment and product innovation. This facility will focus on advancedengineering solutions, and customization for varied market requirements.

KCEI manufactures a widerange of excavators in India, with an annual production capacity of 3,000units. The company supplies excavators to domestic customers, exports to morethan 16 countries, and continues to maintain high-end leadership with over 25per cent market share.
