Grove upgrades the GMK6400-1 to GMK6450-1

Responding tocustomer demands for a higher-capacity crane, Grove introduces theGrove GMK6450-1.

Grove respondedto customer demand for a higher-capacity crane byintroducing the Grove GMK6450-1. The updated nomenclature alignswith customer feedback and more accurately highlights thecrane’s superior lifting capabilities in the six-axle category.

The nominalmaximum capacity rating increases from 400T to 450T. The crane remains thestrongest all-terrain crane available on six-axles.

The GroveGMK6450-1 offers segment-leading lifting capabilities and has been used onprojects in place of seven-axle – or even eight-axle – all-terrain cranes. Forexample, it can lift 8.9T between 38m and 50m radii when working with its fullboom and jib system length of 136m. When working with 120m of boom and jib, thecrane handles an impressive 12.8T at distances between 36m and 52m.

Furthermore, theGMK6450-1 is particularly well suited to wind power projects that requireflexible set-up distances to the turbine and the ability to lift heavy loads atsteep vertical angles. It can lift in wind speeds of up to 9.0m/s with its 79mluffing jib.
