Komatsu hascompleted the acquisition of GHH Group GmbH (GHH), a manufacturer ofunderground mining, tunnelling, and special civil engineering equipmentheadquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. GHH’s wide range of equipment, focusedon loaders (LHDs) and articulated dump trucks, will enhance Komatsu’s growingunderground mining product offerings. This includes aftermarket parts andservice support through the entire lifetime of the equipment.
“The talentedGHH staff are now part of Komatsu and our new combined team will work togetherto expand offerings and increase customer access to products in newterritories,” said Peter Salditt, President of Komatsu´s Mining BusinessDivision.
Komatsu iscommitted to expanding its underground mining offering for global customers. Byadding GHH’s factories and rebuild facilities in key markets in Europe,Southern Africa, India and Chile, the company will work to strengthenproduction and service capabilities for customers.
