Shri B M Aggarwal, Chairman, AGGCON Groupand India’s ‘man of equipment rentals’,a postal stamp was released by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Honourable Minister forPorts, Shipping and Waterways, at PHDCCI’s 118th Annual Session inVigyan Bhawan, New Delhi last year.
Today, AGGCON has becomeone of the leading and fastest growing infrastructure and mining equipmentrental companies in India and has an integrated operations network in allstates and union territories of India. The companyprovides all equipments – including specialized equipments – on rental basisacross India, including the latest technology equipments and cranes forinstallation/erection of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG).
Future plan
AGGCON has performed wellin last three years and added many latest technology equipments in the fleet. Today, they are a rental partner with both Tata Projectsand L&T in the construction of Atal Setu, India’s longest sea bridge.
With India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s focuson infrastructure, there is a great demand for equipment in India, withinvestment in renewables, public infrastructure such as high-speed rail, andthe construction of giga factories. The company is investing in heavy lift cranesfor various projects, and are also looking to take over some small rentalcompanies of Europe/UK to start their operations globally.
Rental industry in India
Having represented infrastructure equipment rental industry at European RentalConvention and BRICS2023, I am oneof the founding members of CERA (Construction Equipment Rental Association). Itis important for Indian Rental industry to work closely with Global RentalAlliance (GRA) and European Rental Association (ERA) to bring transformationand global standards here. Recently, AGGCON invited Michel Petitjean, SecretaryGeneral, ERA and GRA to India and suggested Global Exchange programmes forrental industry worldwide to bring uniformity and modern practices.
About BRICS, it can be saidthat member nations are now increasingly seen as a powerful voice of the GlobalSouth and emerging economies. Infrastructure is the focus of all the countriesand rental industry will play a bigger role in future. Further expansion ofBRICS will help rental industry to go global with Bharat playing a pivotal rolein shaping the BRICS of the future.
CSR Initiative
AGGCON always cares forsustainable development and environment and adopted the G20 goals – LiFE(Lifestyle for Environment), and One Earth, One Family, One Future. The companystarted a mission – Tree of Friendship – which is their CSR initiative toreduce carbon footprints.
It involves the greenpractice of planting or donating a tree when the machines arrive at any projectsite. The company also gifts a sapling to visitors at their head office.
It is an effort tosensitize people to plant trees and care for the environment. AGGCON is alsomotivating their team members to come to office on cycles, providing an incentiveto their team members for being non-polluters.
