ReNew Power (‘ReNew’ or ‘theCompany’), India’s leading renewable energy company, has announced that it hassigned a renewable energy agreement of 150 MW with Microsoft India, in one ofthe largest such deals in the country. As part of the arrangement, ReNew willproduce 150 MW of clean energy from a recently commissioned solar site near Bikaner.
Speaking on the agreement, SumantSinha, Chairman and CEO of ReNew Power said, “This venture will help contributetowards Microsoft’s ambition of shifting to 100 per cent supply of renewableenergy by 2025.”
Commenting on the partnership, DrRohini Srivathsa, National Technology Officer, Microsoft India said, “Microsoftis striving to run 100 per cent on renewable energy by 2025 and turn carbonnegative by 2030. We are happy to partner with ReNew Power to meet oursustainability targets, and to also help our customers and partners on theirsustainability journey.”
