ACC ECOPact, the industry'sbroadest offering of green concrete for high-performing, safe, and circularconstruction has been awarded the ‘Solar Impulse Efficient Solution’ label. ECOPactis one of the ten LafargeHolcim solutions that have been recognized by theSolar Impulse Foundation.
‘ECOPact’ is cement that provideshigher resistance against corrosion caused by chlorine penetration and otherenvironmental factors. The Eco-friendly product range also gives the choice todecide on concrete primarily based on their desired degree of CO2discount and sustainability aim.
The range includes three variants –ECOPact PRIME, which offers CO2 reduction by 50-70 per cent; ECOPactMAX, with a CO2 reduction capability greater than 70 per cent; and,ECOPact ZERO, a combination of concrete technology excellence and climateaction, which offers the opportunity to eliminate the carbon footprint ofconcrete and greatly reduce the overall carbon footprint of the structures.
The Solar Impulse Foundationlaunched its 1,000-solution challenge in 2018 with the aim of protecting theenvironment while making a profit. The aim was to present these ideas todecision-makers for swift implementation. The Solar Impulse Foundation awards abadge to selected solutions as evidence of their positive environmental andeconomic effects. Each solution that received an award was strictly assayed bya pool of independent experts.
