INOX Air Products announces India’slargest Greenfield investment in the Industrial Gases Sector of `2,000-cr.

India’s largest manufacturer ofIndustrial and Medical Gases, INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has laid out massive expansionplans of `2,000-croresto build eight new Air Separation Units across the country. This will be India’slargest Greenfield investment plan ever witnessed in the Industrial Gasessector.


With a combined capacity tomanufacture more than 1,500 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) of Liquid Gases, the expansionwill take INOXAP’s total liquid gases production to 4,800 TPD by 2024. INOXAP’sexpansion would also augment its Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) productioncapacity by 50 per cent.


INOXAP’s new plants will bestrategically located in proximity of high demand growth areas in the states ofGujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh,and West Bengal. The plants will produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, andliquid argon and will be commissioned during the course of FY22 to FY24.
The bulk availability ofindustrial and medical gases will ensure constant supplies for electronicmanufacturing, pharmaceutical sector, besides helping iron, steel andautomobile industries to ramp up their production capacities. The projects willgenerate more than 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities in theirrespective regions.
Speaking about the investments,Siddharth Jain, Director – INOX Air Products says, “The expanded capacity willenable us to serve the core sectors, supporting the nation’s AatmanirbharBharat endeavour and its march towards becoming a $5.0-trillion economy. Ournew ASUs are envisioned to empower numerous sectors and boost economicactivities in key industrial regions. The investments will also help usmaintain our leadership position in the market.”
INOX AP currently manufactures 3300TPD of liquid gases across 44 locations in the country. During COVID, INOXAP has been catering to morethan 60 per cent of the total Medical Oxygen demand in the country.


AllINOXAP units have been running 24x7 to ensure a continuous production anduninterrupted supply of Medical Oxygen to more than 800 hospitals nationwidethrough a dedicated fleet of 550 transport tanks. With a massive 50 per centgrowth in the production of LMO, INOXAP would continue to fulfil itsresponsibilities in the Medical and Healthcare space.
