PatelEngineering, a Civil Construction Company focused on hydropower sector, has announcedthat the Company has bagged the `1,564.42-crore Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project (2,000 MW), in ArunachalPradesh. Subansiri Lower HEP is having an installed capacity of 2000 MW, whichwill make it the single largest hydro power generation project in India.
The project,located at Village Kolaptukar in Kamle (formerly Lower Subansiri) district ofArunachal Pradesh, comprises of balance civil works of Power House Complexincluding HRT Intake Structures, Tail Race Channel, etc., with following maincomponents:
- Constructionof 8.0 nos. HRT intake structures.
- Constructionof 8.0 nos. 9.5m diameter horseshoe shaped Head race tunnels with lengthvarying from 610m to 1170m.
- Constructionof 8.0 nos. 8.0m diameter circular steel lined pressure shafts.
- Constructionof Surface power house (285 m X 61 m X 64 m) including control block and transformerhall-cum-GIS.
- Constructionof tailrace channel of width 206m and length 35m joining to river.
- Constructionof adits associated with underground structures.
- Constructionof 8.0 inclined surge tunnels of dia. 9.5m of length varying from 475m to 390m.
-Eight vertical surge shafts of 9.5m circular in shape height varying from 10.5mto 12.5m.
