KATERRA BAGS CONTRACT TO BUILD 4101 HOUSING UNITS IN SAUDI ARABIA

The Ministry of Housing, represented by the Development Housing Initiative, has signed an agreement with Katerra, a design and technology driven global construction company, to build 4101 individual homes across the Kingdom. The new construction will provide housing units for the beneficiaries of the Development Housing Initiative in line with the Kingdom’s objectives. The signing ceremony was held under the patronage and presence of His Excellency, Minister of Housing, Majed Bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and Ziyad Al Ashaikh, Partner Head of Softbank SBIA, Saudi Arabia and was signed by Ash Bhardwaj, President – Asia and Middle East, Katerra.
Backed by Soft Bank’s Vision Fund, Katerra makes its foray in the Saudi market, introducing advanced construction technology to support the country’s infrastructure plan outlined in Vision 2030. A Silicon Valley technology driven, offsite construction start-up, Katerra has grown rapidly since 2015. Today, the company has over 5,000 employees, six operational factories, and 700+ projects in progress across America and India.
