Metso announces the sixth model for the Nordberg HPe Crusher Series

Metso has announced yet another expansion of itsNordberg® HPe crusher series™, offering a comprehensive, scalable, andenergy-efficient solution for high-performance crushing in aggregates andmining applications.

First introduced in 2023, the HPe series hasquickly established itself as an industry leader. Now, just two years later,the lineup has grown to six models, covering a wide range of size categoriesand process stages, from secondary to tertiary and quaternary crushing.

“With the latest addition of the Nordberg® HPecrusher series™, we are able to offer customers the ideal balance of power andefficiency for their specific crushing needs. The HP450e, as a mid-range unit,is designed for customers who require reliable, high-capacity crushing withoutexcessive energy consumption. With this unit, we have further improved itsapplication flexibility so that customers get the maximum production and yieldof wanted end products,” notes Ilkka Somero, Product Manager of HP Conesat Metso’s Aggregates business area.

The latest size class of the series, the newNordberg® HP450e™, offers enhanced performance, higher uptime, widerapplication coverage, faster and safer serviceability, and a series of otherimprovements, making it the perfect choice for diverse rock processingoperations.

The Nordberg® HP450e™ cone crusher offers severalunique benefits including:

-         Enhancedperformance;

-         +10per cent more head motion;

-         +13per cent more power (in kW and HP);

-         +20per cent more force;

-         Environmentallyfriendly solution, as backing material is not needed;

-         New,more efficient chambers;

-         Headspin brake for higher uptime;

-         Serviceabilityimprovements; and

-         Feedcone lifting tool.

Metso offers upgrade options for customers withearlier generation HP crushers. Many of the new HPe features can be applied toexisting units through upgrades, including no-backing liners that reducemaintenance downtime, a redesigned split nut for improved safety and easiermaintenance, and a crusher head spin brake that extends liner life. Additionally,most spare and wear parts from the HPe series are compatible with HP crushers,providing cost-effective and operational benefits for mixed fleets.
