Anexperienced Indian road construction company turned to Ammann to help it meetincreasingly strict environmental standards. JRD, founded in 2010, isheadquartered in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. It primarily concentrates on road buildingand civil projects, but also handles residential, industrial and commercialwork.

JRDInfratech Pvt. Ltd. recently purchased an Ammann ACC 90 CounterMix Asphalt MixingPlant. “It is an environmentally friendly plant that utilizes greentechnology,” says Yadav. He says that the plant meets National Green Tribunal(NGT) and Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) guidelines. “There are stiffpollution norms,” he says, “and this is the only plant that has met NGTconditions.”
Theplant produces asphalt mix for the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, whichconnects Noida, Uttar Pradesh to the new suburb of Greater Noida. It is alsobeing put to work on other sector roads. Recycled plastics are used in some ofthe mixes manufactured for the project.
TheACC 90 CounterMix, which produces about 600 tons per day, is a counter flowasphalt drum-mix plant known for being productive and environmentally friendly.It combines the simplicity of existing continuous drum-mix plants with theadded efficiency achieved through counter flow technology. Lesser energyrequirements for heating lead to reduced emissions.
Italso produces mix at a lower cost than traditional parallel flow drum-mixplants and can easily incorporate recycled asphalt (RAP) and other additives. Thekey green features, particularly lower emissions and recycling capabilities,were a perfect match for JRD’s needs. “Tough environmental norms are thebiggest challenge we face today,” says Yadav.

Overall,the ACC 90 CounterMix is a cost-saver. “The plant is fuel efficient andconsumes less when compared to other plants,” Yadav says. “We save money onfuel, plant maintenance, and parts consumption. The plant is reliable and easyto operate.”
Theinstallation too was fast and straightforward. “It did not take more than 10days,” he says. Moreover, Ammann India customer service has been supportive andhelps ensure all maintenance is completed on time. “The Ammann India serviceteam is always ready to support our plant. The team has fast response time,”concludes Yadav.
