LJUNGSTRÖM wins major contract from DPSI
Company to supply eight Air Preheaters and four Gas-Gas Heaters for coal-fired electrical power plants Obra-C and Jawaharpur, UP.

LJUNGSTRÖM has been awarded a significant contract for the supply of air preheaters and gas-gas heaters to the Indian market. The contract by Doosan Power Systems India (DPSI) is for the supply and delivery of eight Ljungström® Air Preheaters and four Ljungström® Gas-Gas Heaters for the Obra-C coal-fired electrical power plant in Sonebhadra district, and for the Jawaharpur coal-fired electrical power plant in Etah district, both in Uttar Pradesh.

LJUNGSTRÖM is a division of ARVOS Group, and is a global technology and innovation leader, specializing in full life-cycle services and solutions for thermal power plants and industrial facilities.
This contract is for the two supercritical power plants, totalling 2,640 MW, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The four 660 MW boilers at the Obra-C and Jawaharpur plants will receive the latest Ljungström® air preheater and gas-gas heater technology, totalling over 9,000 tonnes of advanced heat exchanger equipment. “This is a major win for our team in India,” said LJUNGSTRÖM President, Dave Breckinridge.

Project execution will be led by LJUNGSTRÖM’s India operations, and critical elements of the equipment will be manufactured in LJUNGSTRÖM’s Chennai factory.
