Infraprime Logistics to catalyse US$200-mn investment in construction logistics.

Infraprime LogisticsTechnologies, the Electric Truck and construction logistics start-up isplanning to catalyse investment of $200-million to electrify and organizeconstruction logistics in the country. The three-year-old Company has grown toover $50m in terms of annualized gross logistics value of the contracts beingexecuted.

The investment by theCompany would go in expanding the marketplace for construction logistics allover the country, in establishing a state-of-the-art platform for vehicleservicing, charging and maintenance, and towards plant automation. Fleetoperators, charging network franchisee owners and banks would be playing theirpart via purchase and financing of various assets. The investment would addover $1.0-bn in annual margins to stakeholders across the value chain.

As per a report by KPMG, theconstruction sector is expected to be a $1.0-trillion industry by 2025 and isexpected to engage one million heavy duty trucks. The Company plans to showcasethrough its investment that all these one million heavy duty trucks can bereplaced with electric trucks. The country wide displacement would need acharging network spanning 2,000 sites across 500+ routes.

Meanwhile, the company has announced that it is planning to soon launcha 37 MT GCW model and a 28 MT GCW model. The Company also has an on-demand marketplace – IPLT Trucknow – whereincustomers can directly place orders for their transportation/materialrequirements for construction projects. The orders are fulfilled by the driverswho get navigation assistance via the ‘IPLT Humsafar’ App.
