India is a developing country thathas kept a positive attitude amidst the pandemic. The Government of India hasbeen focused on infrastructure projects, such as bullet train, dedicatedrailway cargo corridors, super-highways, upgrading existing highways (from twoto four lane, and four to six lane), hydropower projects, skyscrapers, andsmart cities.
With over 45 kilometres of roadbeing built per day, the key demand for these mega infrastructure projects isaggregates, or quality sand. These projects require aggregates of (-)22 mm sizefor the concrete works. These projects require quality and High quantity ofaggregates, demanding high capacity crushing and screening plants in the rangeof 300–1000 TPH in three-stage and four-stage.
In case of hilly areas andgreenfield projects, crawler-mounted crushers with three-stage application,i.e., jaw, cone and VSI with screens are in demand. In case of rail projects,the aggregate required is from 5-25mm, and 25-45mm and the rest of the materialis sand. Quality, therefore, is vital.
Puzzolana, from its very inception,has been a strong believer of #MakeInIndia and #AtmaNirbharBharat with thesetting up of an in-house design/R&D centre where new products areconceived and designed, and five state-of-the-art in-house major manufacturingfacilities in Hyderabad and a large casting facility in Dharwad. With regularfeedback from service engineers and customers, Puzzolana constantly improvesexisting equipment/plant designs. These are critical for equipment/plantperformance and ease of maintenance.
Puzzolana is a pioneer inmanufacturing India’s first Crawler Crushing and Screening plant with allequipment run by standard electric motors. Diesel generator sets as a standardfitment, resulting in reduction in fuel consumption and maintenance freecompared to hydraulic drives of that of competitors units. Wherever grid poweris available, there is a changeover switch to shift to grid power and saverunning costs compared to diesel generator set.
Even if there is maintenance ofelectric motor drives, it is simple and can be done by any electrician presenton the site. This pioneering step has been a major attraction to customers, whohave appreciated the immense benefits that can be derived by using grid power,besides the low cost of production.
By considering the nature and cultureof typical Indian customer, the company does field tests of all its newlydeveloped equipment at various customer sites, takes buyer’s feedback beforethe product is launched in the market. This has helped Puzzolana to become a ‘solutionpartner’ to customers.
Puzzolana had recently launched a newjaw crusher of 900TPH. The jaw crusher model is successfully operating and hascreated a buzz in the marketplace
The company has introduced plantsof 400TPH with one heavy duty jaw crusher and single secondary cone crusher forabout 45mm product, followed by VSI/sander for production of about 22 mmaggregates and sand. It has successfully commissioned Crushing Plant forLafargeHolcim, Bangladesh with 650 TPH long-distance/barge loading conveyor.
Moreover, the company has recentlysupplied 600TPH capacity plant with common ramp in two line of 3-Stage, whichis a unique supply for completion of the magnanimous project requirement. Aftercompletion of the project, the plants can be shifted to separate sites of each300TPH.
