As leaders in vertical transportation committedto ensuring safe and reliable travel, we realised that as cities gradually begin toopen, the experience of using residential buildings and public premises, suchas metro stations, shopping malls, and offices is bound to change. Consideringphysical distancing measures as well as the need for people to be able to movearound in shared spaces safely, we introduced Health and Wellbeing Solutions that encouraged physicaldistancing while enabling a safe and convenient return to public settings.

The response from our customers has been very good. The threesolutions for the Indian market – Escalator Handrail Sanitizer, Elevator CallFeature, Elevator AirPurifier – have done exceedingly well.

For us, at KONE, innovation means putting the customer and end user at the centreand involving them in the creative work. Innovation methods that allowco-creation with our customers and partners are at the core of KONE’s research, conception, as well as new products and services creation. This applies tomechanical concepts, new user experiences, as well as digital solutions. We usenew integrated technologies and connectivity to set new standards for customerservice.
