JCB, a name synonymous with Backhoe Loaders, offers the widest range of the equipment in India. The range is developed to suit different user segments for different applications. The new ecoXcellence Backhoe Loader, which was introduced at Excon 2017, is packed with 30 new innovative features, including 15 industry firsts, and five world’s firsts – Automated Manual Transmission, SOS switch, Economy and Power Mode, Guide Me Home, and Smart App Machine Diagnostics.
JCB has also taken cognizance of evolving customer needs and has come up with solutions pertaining to reduced cost of operation, enhance reliability, performance, ease of use, safety, serviceability and design in its new ecoXcellence range of Backhoe Loaders.

Cost of Operation
The Backhoe Loader offers 10 per cent more fuel efficiency in duty cycle along with additional savings of 5.0 per cent in yearly maintenance cost. Moreover, the machine offers reduce wastage of fuel while idling, and comes with options of choosing Economy, Standard, and Plus mode, which helps in saving fuel as per the work requirement.

Reliability
The Boom and Dipper joint has floating pin design like the big Excavators, which enhances its life. It also offers a wider Dipper to make structures more reliable. Also, the anti-rust coating on the stabiliser pad lock nuts enhances the life of internal threads.


Ease of use
A bigger pedal and nearly zero effort foot and hand throttle with no wire control offers ease of use. The Hydraulic Filter clogging indicators enhances life and saves undue repair cost of hydraulic components. Operators can now know exact operation of the machine during the day with trip hour meter switch on the digital display. Additionally, the Digital Speedometer shows operating speed and gear.

Safety
The new ‘Guide me home’ feature offers multiple benefits. After parking, the machine’s external light will automatically switch on after ignition off and switch off automatically after 30 Seconds. In this duration, the operator can identify his way, belongings, etc., while leaving the machine/site after parking the equipment.
In case of emergency, if the operator pushes the SOS switch for five seconds, an automatic emergency SMS will be sent to the Livelink command centre/owner’s mobile – another enhanced safety feature on the ecoXcellence. It also has the feature of Data Analytics to know the operational behaviour of the machine.

Serviceability/Diagnostics
The Smart App connects with Bluetooth on the machine and can exactly tell which part of the machine has concern that needs to be addressed, thus saving the operator valuable time and money. With the Audio-Visual warning system for any malfunction along with an error code display, the operator can tell the error code to the service engineer while call log so that he is better prepared to address the same before he arrives at site.
Moreover, the Coolant Indicator window on top of the radiator tank helps in the protection of Engine components.

Styling/Aesthetics
The Backhoe Loaders offer bolder exteriors for new upgraded models. Bold colour scheme inside the cabin gives a refreshed feeling inside.
